
Before logging in, you need to set up your Ledger hardware wallet. This includes initializing the device, creating a PIN, and securely writing down your 24-word recovery phrase. This phrase is crucial as it acts as a backup to restore your wallet if the device is lost or damaged.
Ledger Live is the official companion software for Ledger devices. Available for Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile platforms, Ledger Live is where you will manage your assets after logging in. Download it from the official Ledger website to avoid phishing scams or fake applications.
To log in, connect your Ledger hardware wallet to your computer or mobile device via USB or Bluetooth (for Ledger Nano X). Make sure the device is powered on, and unlock it by entering your PIN directly on the hardware device.
Once your device is connected and unlocked, open Ledger Live. The software will recognize your hardware wallet. Navigate to the Manager section to verify that your device is properly connected and that your firmware is up to date.
After the initial login, Ledger Live will show the cryptocurrency accounts you have added. You can now view your balances, send or receive assets, and manage your portfolio securely.
